Workshop: Gas-to-Power, Critical Infrastructure & Grid Resilience - Turning Venezuela’s Gas Resources into Reliable Electricity

Venezuela’s vast natural gas resources offer a major opportunity to strengthen electricity reliability, support post-earthquake recovery and create new demand for domestic gas. This workshop will examine how gas-to-power projects can convert available and future gas supply into reliable electricity for industrial zones, strategic energy assets, affected regions and the wider grid. Discussions will explore bankable project structures linking gas supply, power generation, offtake and infrastructure investment, with a focus on resilient generation capacity, decentralised and backup power solutions, and fast-track projects for critical loads, including oil and gas operations, hospitals, water systems and communities.
