Rebuilding Human Capital, Developing Future Leaders and Creating the Skills for Long-Term Growth. Venezuela's energy recovery will depend not only on investment and technology, but on people. Years of underinvestment and the loss of experienced professionals have created significant gaps across leadership, engineering and technical disciplines, while a new generation of engineers, technicians and energy leaders represents one of the country's greatest long-term assets. This closed-door roundtable brings together industry leaders, universities, executive search specialists and policymakers to explore how stronger collaboration between academia and industry can develop the next generation of engineers, technicians and energy leaders, strengthen technical education and leadership capability, attract and retain skilled professionals—including the Venezuelan diaspora—and build the workforce needed to support Venezuela's long-term oil and gas renaissance.
