Panel Discussion 6: Beyond LNG: Building a Regional Gas Economy

30 Sept 2026
JW Marriott Caracas
Executive Summit

Natural gas has the potential to become far more than an export commodity—it can serve as a catalyst for industrialisation, economic diversification and regional energy security. While LNG exports will play an important role, long-term success will depend on developing strong domestic markets, expanding gas-to-power, supporting downstream industries, promoting virtual pipeline solutions to deliver gas to remote and off-grid communities and industries, and strengthening cross-border energy partnerships. This panel will explore how governments, industry and investors can create sustainable demand for Venezuelan gas, maximise value across the gas value chain, and position Venezuela as a key contributor to a more integrated, resilient and inclusive energy market across Latin America and the Caribbean.
