Panel Discussion 5: Associated Gas – A Window of Opportunity
As Venezuela's oil sector recovers, associated gas represents one of the country's most immediate and commercially attractive opportunities to increase domestic gas supply, reduce flaring and CO₂ emissions, and generate new revenue streams. With much of the infrastructure and production already linked to existing oil operations, associated gas can provide a faster pathway to market than many standalone developments. This panel will explore how operators, investors and technology providers can capture, process and commercialise valuable gas that would otherwise be wasted through gas-to-power, industrial development, LNG and regional export opportunities, while deploying carbon management technologies that improve project economics, support lower-emission oil production and unlock additional value across the energy value chain.
